Acer

Every year, Boomkamp offers a fixed programme of pot-grown species such as Acer griseum, Acer ‘Red Flamingo’ and many Japanese maples: Acer palmatum, japonicum and shirasawanum cultivars. Japanese maples are available as shrubs and on stems. Standard stem heights in the range are: 50, 80 and 140 cm. We grow most of our assortment at our location in Boskoop, where Acer cultivation has long been a specialisation. Part of the assortment grows up in the open ground into heavy, solitary plants. We then grow them off in containers.

Buxus

At Boomkamp, you will find Buxus in various forms throughout the year, available in large quantities. We grow the Buxus for several years in the open field in Twente and finish off in pots at our location in Erica. This creates a beautiful, heavy and uniform quality. Potting takes place in the autumn, after which the plants are available from ± week 12 as pot-sprouted quality and from ± week 20 as pot-grown quality. We deliver pot-sprouted and pot-grown Buxus in clean deco pots. Orders can be marked for delivery on the next working day. Daily transport is also possible to Aalsmeer and Naaldwijk.

Shrubs

Our pot-in-pot fields feature a wide range of shrubs in containers, with many different flower and leaf colours in various shapes. The shrubs are grown into sturdy plants and very suitable for landscaping, decoration and retail. Available as standard in C35 and C50 containers. We grow part of the assortment in the field to extra-heavy, solitary plants of 150-400 cm. They are then grown off in C130 to C500 containers. Our shrubs are also available on stems in various shapes and sizes. The annual programme consists of a line of 120 cm stems, but there are also several varieties in a size larger or smaller. All stems are available in containers.

Evergreen shrubs

You will find a wide range of evergreen shrubs from 40-100 cm, grown in containers, all year round. In addition, we grow species of Ilex, Prunus and Photinia as larger sizes in open field. Some of these larger sizes are also available in containers. All standard shrubs are pot-grown and have a heavy crown. Standing shrubs are available in various sizes and varieties. Regular stem sizes in our range are: 80, 100 and 120 cm. In addition to shrubs and stems, you will also find bulbs and pyramids at Boomkamp. Tightly pruned shrubs that make the difference between beautiful green and particularly beautiful green.

Taxus

Taxus baccata for hedges from 50 cm to 2.5 metres are grown in large numbers in the open ground. Our range also includes Taxus media ‘Hillii’ and Taxus media ‘Hicksii’ in sizes up to 200 cm. These plants are regularly transplanted and expertly pruned. In addition to hedge plants, Boomkamp supplies various species of ornamental taxus, ball, cones and other exclusive pruning shapes in various types and various sizes.

Boomkamp supplies hedge conifers in various Thuja and Chamaecyparis species. With our years of experience, combined with modern machinery, each hedge plant is planted on GPS and individually grown into a highly uniform product as our customers are used to. A number of species are also available year-round in large numbers in containers. Container-grown conifers are entirely in substrate, resulting in a light, easy-to-handle plant. Depending on the species and season, we offer hedge conifers from 100 to 250 cm.

Boomkamp offers a wide range of conifers in various sizes, such as spruces and pines. Thanks to the large choice of species, conifers lend themselves well to a retail mix. The smaller potted plants are available in pot size C7.5 and the heavier potted plants in pot sizes C35 to C70. Our outdoor plants start with heavy material of replanted quality. We then cultivate the conifers over several years into sturdy, extra high-quality plants, after which we supply them with root balls or in containers. Thanks to the large stock in the container field, we have a wide variety of different species and sizes all year round.

Grafted Conifers

You will find a wide range of grafted conifers, from small to large. Most of the cultivation takes place at our site in Boskoop. The pot-grown varieties are available year-round in 3-litre to 50-litre containers. A select part of the assortment grows up to extra heavy solitary plants in the open field. We then grow these off in our container fields. Thanks to the many growth forms and needle colours, the varieties offer a visually interesting appearance all year round. Our improved conifers can also be offered and delivered as mixed layers or mixed trolleys.

Bonsai topiaries

Our GreenArt collection consists of unique, solitary shapes. Each form is the result of years of skilled handwork by specialised form trimmers. Some specimens we shape for up to 25 years. Large numbers of fully-grown specimens are kept in containers so that you can choose from the most beautiful exclusive solitary bonsais all year round, which are often in no way inferior to Japanese specimens.
